Dissolution of Sadla

At an EGM on 15th October 2020 a vote was unanimous for SADLA to join fully with the NRLA and, become an NRLA district.

The vote was also unanimous, to donate the remaining cash in the bank, to the various charities listed in the EGM document.

The Sadla committee would like to thank the membership for the help and encouragement it has received over the past 20 years that SADLA has existed.

The NRLA will employ a paid part-time local representative (rep) for the Sheffield /S Yorks area who will take care of running all of the  members meetings and deal with any issues.

There will be a local NRLA Sheffield local group committee for which any local member can apply to be part of. This committee will be there to help and advise the Rep on any local issues and meeting content.
Several of the present SADLA committee will continue to serve on it, but several are retiring.

It is hoped that, despite several local members retiring, these new arrangements will mean members do not see much of a change in terms of member’s benefits and services. Meetings will resume when restrictions allow as members of the NRLA, with continued access to the NRLA web site, downloads and advice line as in the past. Membership of the NRLA has now gone down in price to £75.
